Visionary Meals (“Visionary Meals,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides freshly prepared meals for pickup and delivery through our website, visionarymeals.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect when you visit the Site, create an account, or place an order; how we use it; and who we share it with. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
- Contact information: your name, email address, and mobile phone number. Your phone number is used to create and sign in to your account.
- Delivery information: your delivery or shipping address, delivery instructions, and your chosen pickup location.
- Order information: the items you order, order history, promotions and gift cards you use, and any subscription preferences.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your full card number on our systems; we retain only a reference to your Stripe customer record and your order totals.
- Marketing preferences: when you opt in to (or out of) email or text message communications, we keep a record of your consent, including the date, the method you used, and the IP address of the request.
Information collected automatically
- Session cookie: we set a cookie that keeps you signed in and links your browser to your shopping cart, which is stored on our servers.
- Site activity: we use analytics tools (described below) that collect information such as the pages you visit, the products you view and add to your cart, your device and browser type, and your IP address.
How We Use Your Information
- To create your account and verify your identity when you sign in.
- To process, prepare, deliver, and provide updates about your orders.
- To process payments, refunds, gift cards, and promotions.
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support.

Text Messaging (SMS) Program
We collect your mobile phone number when you create an account, sign in, or place an order. We use your phone number to:
- Sign you in: we send a one-time verification code by text message when you sign in to your account.
- Keep you updated on orders (transactional messages): we send order confirmations, delivery reminders, delivery-day updates, and delivery confirmations (which may include a photo of your delivered order).
- Send offers and reminders (marketing messages): if you have opted in to marketing texts, we may send promotions, discount codes, order-day reminders, and cart reminder messages.
Marketing text messages are sent only to customers who have opted in. You can opt out of marketing texts at any time by replying STOP to any message or by updating your preferences in your account settings. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchase.
We share phone numbers with the service providers that deliver our text messages on our behalf (such as our messaging and marketing platforms); they are not permitted to use your phone number for their own purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with or sold to any third parties, and no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Cookies, Shopping Cart, and Abandoned Cart Reminders
Visionary Meals’s website uses cookies to help keep track of items you put into your shopping cart, including when you have abandoned your cart. This information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages by text message (if you have opted in to marketing texts) or by email. Specifically, a session cookie links your browser to your cart on our servers, and our marketing platform records events such as viewing a product, adding an item to your cart, and starting checkout in order to recognize when a cart has been left behind.
Third-party tools on the Site may also set their own cookies, including our analytics provider (PostHog), the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, our marketing platform (Klaviyo), and our web chat widget (Podium). You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the Site (such as staying signed in or keeping items in your cart) may not work without them.
Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed for them to perform their services for us:
- Payments: Stripe processes your payments and stores your payment methods.
- Text messaging: Twilio delivers sign-in codes and order-status texts; Podium and Klaviyo deliver marketing texts and power our web chat.
- Email and marketing: Amazon Web Services (SES) sends our transactional emails; Klaviyo and Mailchimp manage our marketing emails and subscriber lists.
- Delivery: OptimoRoute receives your name, delivery address, and delivery instructions so we can plan and track home-delivery routes.
- Analytics and advertising: PostHog (site analytics), Meta/Facebook Pixel (advertising measurement), and Google BigQuery (internal reporting).
- Infrastructure: Amazon Web Services hosts the Site and stores data, including proof-of-delivery photos; Sentry helps us monitor errors.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Location Information
We do not collect precise geolocation from your device, and we do not use GPS or other location-tracking technologies. The only location information we collect is what you provide directly: your delivery or shipping address and the pickup location you choose. We use this information solely to determine delivery eligibility for your area, plan delivery routes, and fulfill your orders.
Data Retention and Security
We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
- Marketing texts: reply STOP to any marketing text, or update your preferences in your account settings.
- Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or update your preferences in your account settings.
- Access, correction, and deletion: you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data. When you close your account, we also request deletion of your profile from our marketing platform.
- Cookies: manage cookies through your browser settings.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
